The Candle Tray's are beautifully finished to have that old and primitive look. The wood ( that's right real wood!) is distressed, then painted a top coat over a complimenting base color and hand rubbed with our patented finishing stain. These are NOT a mass produced foreign import! Handmade in the U.S.A. They come in Mustard with black paint underneath, New England Red with Mustard underneath, Colonial Blue with Mustard underneath, Old Raven Black with Mustard underneath, Lexington Green with Mustard underneath, all are distressed and are finished with a hand rubbed stain. Trays are made of real wood right here in the good old U.S.A. Oh! What a wonderful accent piece to store your grubby candles! From a time gone by, where electricity was non-existent, candles were used for lighting and a candle box was handy to have in almost every room of the house. This is a reproduction of the old time candle boxes, the boxes are painted a base color and then a second color over the first. They are then distressed which allows the base coat color paint to show, and then the wood ( yes that’s right REAL WOOD !) is hand stained and rubbed for a goreous primitive finish. My wife added the rusty star, which is hung over the front board and maybe removed if so desired. (I wouldn't dare remove it! besides it does look good) MADE IN U.S.A. It is wood and has an open back to place in front of your toaster or any thing that you wish to hide from view. We offer it in a variety of colors. Shown is one that is painted Colonial Black, sanded & Stained and added a hand rubbed finish to complete the distressed look. The other is robin egg blue with apropriate finishing. It also is available in New England Red, Lexington Green, Colonial Blue, and Primitive Mustard. The inside has been stained. The front side looks like routed drawers but are just for show. There are 9 shaker pegs placed on the front. This cabinet Looks like the real thing but has no back or bottom, makes it easy to move when you wish to use your toaster,and then place it back in front when your finished. It Would look great on your counter, to cover your portable mixer.. or in the bathroom to cover your tissue products. The APOTHECARY/Spice cabinet cover measures.. Primitive/Colonial ~ Wood Box w/Paddle Handle This Box came out Wonderful. My hubby made the pattern and designed the box. It's Such a Prim piece, It's got to be one of my favorites. It measures 8 1/2"high x 9"wide x 2 1/2"deep. I painted it Mustard with Black underneath, it was then sanded, stain and a special hand rubbed finish was added to it. Great Piece for so Many things. Add bars of soaps, candles, so many uses. It will sit or hang. The items shown with the box are Not Included.
